Weekly Writing Progress: 2021, Nov 1-Nov 7

OUR SWEET DAYS: During the week, I wrote 12765 words!
OUR SWEET DAYS: 1 chapter, ie 1k words. I'm officially halfway through this novel now!
FANFICS: 2 DCU fanfics, together about 2.6k words.
DEAD END: 1 chapter!
THIN ICE: About 700 words, thus finishing ch 8.
A FIELD OF SCATTERED STARS: First chapter (1k) done! This is a Dead End spin-off that I'm super excited about~
FANFICS: First, about 700 words on a sladejay fic for SladeRobin Week 2021. It's been posted, so that was fun! I haven't really started the other fics for the event, so I'll be late on those, but it was nice to get 1 out in time, at least.
Two, 8.5k words on a Solo Leveling fic. (...I did not realize it was 8k until I did the math just now, what the hell?!)
Three, 300 words on a JC/WRH fic that I just started.
So, in conclusion, I've written about 10k words this week. ...Huh.
DEAD END: 1k!
HOLLOW HEARTS: ca 500 words!
OUR SWEET DAYS: ca 500 words!
DEAD END: 1k words (chapter 10 done)!
OUR SWEET DAYS: Ca 1.5k words, first time writing this one in a month, so that's nice. And it's gonna be my NaNoWriMo project, so hopefully, I can get a lot done then!
FANFICS: 1k on a ficlet and around 700 more words on a one-shot still ongoing.
DEAD END: 500 words, thus finishing chapter 9.
FANFICS: 2k words on a sladejay fic because I have fallen down the batman trap and now I'm stuck.
Nothing else, I think.
A HOUSE SO HUNGRY: About 900 words added to chapter 1. This is my horrible attempt at writing an F/F gothic romance, but I'm having fun with it, so I don't care how bad it is.
DEAD END: 500 words added to ch 9.
Late on my assignments again, so no time to write!
FANFICS: About 4k on 3 different fics, one of which was a ficlet that's been posted on my side AO3 account. The others (both AFTG) are still being worked on.
PICTURE PERFECT: 200 words added to ch 3.
Still have a cold, and am late on my school assignments, so haven't had time for more.
OUR SWEET DAYS: 500 words done written. (challenge failed, but whatever, i wrote some stuff and am satisfied with just that)
DEAD END: 1000 words, ie 1 chapter!
DEMONIC CULTIVATION MANUAL: 1000 words, ie 1 chapter!
EVERY DAY, MY HUSBAND IS BULLYING GHOSTS: 'bout 500 words. meant to be a 15k novelette, but i'm not sure i'm happy with what i have so far. might start over.
FANFICS: wrote some hundred words here and there, but i don't know how much it adds up to. didn't post anything, at least.
I am in the midst of a self-imposed writing challenge, which I'm fondly calling write 10 OSD chapters in 1 week. It's going... okay.
OUR SWEET DAYS: In the middle of the challenge, which started on Sep 1 and will conclude on Sep 8. Last week I wrote 3.5k words (3 and a half chapters). I'm not meeting the goal, obviously, but that isn't the purpose. It's just an attempt to write as much as I can the first week of the month, so I can live guilt-free the rest of the month. And write other stuff.
FANFICS: About 1.1k words on a fanfic that is probably nowhere near complete. But it's gonna be a one-shot, so that's fun!
Not a lot of action, this week. I've had a pretty much constant headache, sigh.
PICTURE PERFECT: 1 chapter done! That's 1k words, so yay me.
A SLACKER'S LIFE IN THE ENTERTAINMENT CIRCLE: Also 1 chapter written, the first one ever. This one was also 1k words.
FANFICS: About 1k in one fanfic, a ficlet posted on AO3.
School started this week, so writing has been slow.
FANFICS: 4k for 2 different fanfics, both posted on my AO3. (For KuZu Week 2021, which I'm the idiot hosting.)
OUR SWEET DAYS: 1 chapter of OSD.
IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: 1 chapter written, and I have now put the story on hiatus until the end of 2021. I'm approaching burnout on this one and I'd like to not reach that point, so I'm taking preemptive measures.
And that's it!
(I've come up with some new ideas this week, though, that I'm looking forwards to writing!)
Didn't get a lot of writing done this week; I was on vacation (and just haven't really had the urge to write). But I did write some. I wrote:
DEAD END: Chapter 7 (1k words). First time I'm working on this novel in two months, it's nice to get back to it.
FLASH FICTION: I wrote a 700-word flash fiction titled FOR TONIGHT, WE BURN. I'm gonna turn this one into a 28k word novella!
FANFICS: Been adding some 2k words to 2 different fanfics on AO3.
OUR SWEET DAYS: Tried out WriteTrack in an attempt to get myself to write 7 chapters of OUR SWEET DAYS in 7 seven days. It's a proven fact (through multiple NaNoWriMo) that I can't stay focused on a single project a whole month. After 2 weeks, my concentration is shot. So I thought I would try a shorter thing!
And I think I did well! I got 6 of 7 chapters done, which totals at 6k words. I’ll be repeating this experiment next month. (And I managed to stay focused, too!)
Since I’m posting the novel at a pace of about 9 chapters a month, I want to get into the habit of writing as many chapters as I manage at the start of the month so that I can then relax and work on other stuff for the rest of the month without feeling guilty.
But like I said, it’s an experiment. We’ll see how I do next month~
IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: Wrote 2 chapters (2k words each)—1 on Aug 1 and 1 on Aug 8. (…Actually, wrote half on Aug 8 and half on Aug 9, which is why I’m posting this on a Monday.)
And that’s it for last week. Quite a lot, for me.
